Technological innovation is developing very rapidly to fill the spaces of life and meet human’s needs in everything after the millennium era. A total of 10.000 technological innovation patents have been registered since last year and most of the new innovations in the technology have appeared in products in 2019 and subsequent years. The sectors of technological innovation that would emerge and get great success could even displace old technology that could not be updated. One of the new innovations that will emerge and succeed in industry 5.0 is the sector of technological innovations infrastructure. It is crucial to focus on how technological innovation can help to deliver a sustainable future (Lee Goi, 2017: 1).
The population living in big cities will double by 2050, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. Most cities in Indonesia have poor land use planning mechanisms. Therefore, there is a need for proper infrastructure to face the challenges such as construction that requires large investments. Basically, a prosperous city will facilitate equitable access to the commons including public infrastructure.
Indonesia is considered to need innovation in infrastructure development. Important technology is put forward to build facilities and infrastructure, given the availability of space in big cities is increasingly limited. Technological innovation is needed to reduce project costs and time efficiency and increase project productivity.
Increasing global warming, melting of polar ice caps, erratic climate change will have an impact on the disruption of ecosystems. The fact that global warming continues to increase will arise various innovations that were born by manufacturers of building materials. For example, a small part is the use of mild steel to replace natural wood. As we know that the vast forests as the lungs of the earth have been exploited a lot.
According to Basten et al (2016: 3), it needs new concept to make land activities friendly environment. The innovations from world architects design natural shades of buildings on skyscrapers that apply the concept of green building.
Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions can affect climate change. To deal with this, buildings that are environmentally friendly and energy efficient need to be built. This essay outlines the propose solutions, design principles and challenges and impacts for industry 5.0 of The Sector of Technological Innovations Infrastructure: Green Building. Green building is a concept about planning a building that is friendly to the environment.

Green building is one of the propose solutions for technological innovations infrastructure. Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI) states that the green building is a new or existing building are planned, constructed, and operated with due to environment sustainable factors. According to Rahma (2013) in Basten et al (2016: 3), green building is a part of sustainable building which aims to increase the value of a building that serves both occupants and building environment. In short, green building or sustainable building is defined as a building that is designed to reduce the impact on the environment by reducing the use of excessive energy and water
